Candles, lanterns, oh my
I am a huge fan of ambient light. Tea lights, candles, chandeliers, lanterns….if it glows, I love it! I think it can set a ambiance like nothing else. summertime time parties in the night are my favorite. It’s the perfect time to pull out those things that glow. It keeps the bugs away, but keeps the mood in! I just love it. I wanted to post a couple of thoughts about ambient light options for your summer time parties .
1. One of my favorite ways to light a home (indoor or outdoor) are lanterns. (I’m talking about the globe kind) I love, love, love them! You can hang a couple in the corner of a room or hang a string of them between a few trees. They are also a relatively inexpensive way to provide lighting. Especially if you buy in bulk.
2. Tea lights. Short. Sweet. Simple. Lovely. That’s the long and short of it. Sprinkle them around a table, in vases, anywhere! That’s the beauty of them. You can make an arrangement of them as simple or complicated as you want.
3. So, I’ve already done an entire blog on this subject , but I can’t resist bringing it back up in this conversation. Chandeliers are God’s gift to the world of lighting. Put them in a closet, dining room, living room, kitchen….the list goes on and on. But they are such lovely things to add to nearly any room .
4. Candles could pass for the tea light category, but they are a totally different ballgame. You can arrange them to make stunning designs with different shapes, sizes and colors. refined, classic beauty. There is just nothing like it.
I hope you enjoyed this nerd review of lighting. If you didn’t, possibly you could take a look at our homes on College Station Real Estate or Lago Vista Houses .
