Preserving Red And White Wine – The Kalorik WCL 20629

Published by at 11:51 pm under Uncategorized

Preserving wine is all about maintaining the correct temperature. Naturally, red wines tend to need to be kept at a warmer overall level than their white wine counterparts.

That being said, it makes a lot of sense to use “dual zone” wine cooling refrigerators. One such example is the Kalorik wcl 20629. Dual zone simply refers to the fact that these cooling units have 2 regions which maintain independent and differing temperatures. In this way, a far wider selection of wines can be maintained than by using just one fixed temperature.

On the Kalorik eighteen-bottle wine cooler, the different temperatures are controlled digitally for accuracy. The top compartment is for bottles of white, having a temperature range that goes from 44 to 54 Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, the red wine section has a slightly warmer range, being between 54 and 64 Fahrenheit.

The lighting set up also plays an important role in maintaining the quality of wines. Sadly, if the lights heat up too much, it can result in hot spots inside the fridge which affect the temperature of nearby wines.

But this won’t happen with the wcl 20629. That’s because it uses very soft and low power LED lights that gently illuminate without affecting the internal temperature. The whole unit runs very efficiently too, needing only the same equivalent power as a 75-watt light bulb.

Yet another important factor in maintaining a steady internal temperature is insulation. There’s obviously a strong risk of air escaping through the door. However, the Kalorik 18-bottle wine cooler has been designed with this in mind. The tempered and double paned glass door effectively minimizes the loss of cold air escaping.

Furthermore, a fan mounted at the back of this thermoelectric wine cooler helps maintain that the digitally-controlled temperature setting is distributed evenly throughout each of the zones.

The Kalorik WCL 20629 effectively combines all 3 of these functions, to help keep wines at just the right temperature. And it does all this without making much sound at all, because the only moving parts are the fans as they circulate the cooling air.
