The Many Uses Of A Great Wine Bottle
Having a Barossa Valley wine bottle or two at home is always a good idea because there are a lot of things you can do with them. The following are just some of the possible uses of wine:
1.You can give a bottle of wine as a present for a birthday, wedding shower, or any similar happy occasion. If the celebrator is not much of a wine lover, he or she will still appreciate the relatively mild flavors of a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Chardonnay. Ideally, you should know beforehand if they would prefer a bottle of red or white, but most of the time, any type of wine will be deemed a good gift. Even they themselves know the benefits of having good wine ready for uncorking in their cupboard.
2.With wine on hand, spontaneous celebrations are done better. It can happen that some good news will suddenly be announced, such as getting a promotion or winning the lottery. If your cellar or wine rack already holds a bottle of good Barossa Valley wine, you can already start celebrating immediately.
3.There will be times in your life when you would want to just jump and go on a road trip to the countryside on an impulse. It would be a great time to have a picnic as well, either alone or with a few friends. If you want to spend time communing with nature, your picnic basket will not be enough if there’s no wine to drink with your bread, cheese, and prosciutto.
4.Of course, another popular use of wine is for cooking your favorite stew dishes. For simple dishes, a classic Bolognese will improve in taste if you decide to pour in a glass of red Barossa Valley wine. If you have time, you can cook a whole chicken in a slow simmering pot of juices made up of stock and a whole bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.
5.Another use of wine is to help you unwind and relax. Enjoy a once-in-a-blue moon moment of Me-time with good tunes and an equally special glass of Shiraz. With an unopened bottle of red Barossa Valley wine already in the house, you can just go straight to this relaxation without stopping anywhere else after work.
